Description
Scope of application
Ready-made primer material on the basis of quick-drying, vapor-permeable, polymer dispersion. It is intended for treating the base in order to strengthen the surface, reduce its absorbency and improve the adhesion of the final coating (plaster, paint, wallpaper), ceramic tiles and others. before laying. Due to its high penetration, it is well used for priming fine porous materials.
Used to process the base:
- Gypsum and gypsum fiber tiles
- Gypsum and cement plasters
- Gypsum tiles
- Seams of plasterboard and gypsum-fiber tiles, before treatment with plaster of paris
- Tightening of plaster and cement for internal and external works
Consumption:
0.1 kg/m2 (in case of applying one layer)
Storage rules:

Work progress
The base must be clean, free from dust and mixed particles, and the temperature of the treated surface must be between +5 C and +30 C until the ground is completely dry. Knauf's priming material Tiefengrund is ready for use. Immediately before the works, it is recommended to stir the composition, and after that, the paint should be evenly applied to the treated surface with a roller, brush or brush, without dissolving it in water. Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed twice if necessary. Further work on primed surfaces is allowed only after they have dried (at least 3 hours). The interval between the completion of the drying of the soil and the subsequent work should be as short as possible to avoid placing construction dust on the surface. After application of Knauf-Tiffengrund, used instruments and utensils should be washed immediately with water. The dried Knauf-Tiffengrund composition can only be removed mechanically. It is necessary to add other materials to the ground pasala - this will lead to a significant deterioration of its properties.
