AQUAFIN-2K/M
Flexible cementitious protective and waterproofing cover/membrane
Advantages:
- 2-component waterproofing membrane, self-hardening
- Solvent-free - 0 g/l VOC
- Potable water NSF/ANSI 61 certified by WQA
- Does not promote the growth of mold and mildew
- Meets or exceeds ANSI A118.10 and 12
- UV, weather and freeze/thaw resistant
- Breathable (not vapor barrier)
- Used on wet/moist substrates
- Withstands strong positive side hydrostatic pressure
- Active barrier of carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Carbonate protection and carbon dioxide screen: 40 mil (1 mm) 2K/M thickness guarantees the same protection as 12” (300 mm) concrete.
Typical applications:
- Outdoor or low-end applications.
- Application of horizontal, vertical or overhead concrete, cement overlay, masonry, brick and parging (rendering).
- Above grade block (CMU) and concrete substrates as waterproofing base coat under stucco/textured finish.
- External waterproofing of a new or old foundation.
- Terraces and balconies on unoccupied space (separate or under tile), parapets, planter boxes, plaza decks, stadiums.
- Mechanical and equipment rooms.
- Under flexible thin tile mortar (eg shower trays, sanitary rooms, kitchens, balconies, etc.).
